Title: Suspension lowering 40mm, Golf mk3 1.4L
Post by: golfmk31997 on 12 March 2011, 22:28
Hi could anyone tell me the rough price a garage would charge to fit 40mm lowering springs on my 1.4L mk3 ?????????

Is it something that i could do myself ? or not worth the trouble....

I would guess you looking at 3 to 4 hours work in a garage, you would be better to replace the shocks as well at the same time.

Not really as the shocks will fail really quick with lowering springs fitted so you will end paying twice.

More likely to be a couple of hours at the most to do both shocks and springs. Where are you located? Bound to be someone on the forum near you who can do it for beer or weed.

I had shocks and springs fitted two weeks ago to my car and the garage charged me £70
