i am having some problems with my gti mk3, i ave had a hard front impact with a post, it has set the air bag off and has broken the rear engine mount power steering pump bent the front cross member, bonnet, smashed both head lights, and the divers wing,
i have sorted a front end , bonnet, head lights from a wrote off vr6 at the local scrappy,
i tryed to start my car and the dash lights came one then went off, so i fitted a new battery and still the same thing happens so i turned the engine over by bridging the starter motor with a piece of wire and it turned over fine,
so i there some sort of rest that you have to press after a crash??

Check the wiring. There are no resets.Check every plug that you have or haven`t touched,it sounds like an bad earth.

i would also say check the wireing around the crash area and any parts that could have been bent in the crash and caused a cut throught a wire to happen.
