Title: brake fluid

Goin to change fluid and bleed brakes 1.8t.wot peformanc fluids would u recommend?  :undecided:

Castrol Response Super dot4 has a higher boiling point and won't break the bank which is what I am running with a full goodridge hose kit. Otherwise castrol SRF :lipsrsealed:

Nice 1 roughly how much do the brakelines cost just out of interest mate?

The brake lines will improve braking a hell of a lot, no spongy feel and a lot sharper as well as more responsive, now my pads get baked instead  :sad:

As for the hoses it depends you can buy a kit for just front, or just back and mid, or a complete set. I got mine off ebay after messing around with blackdiamond ones, turns out blackdiamond hoses that are advertised for the mk4 all have mk3 connector ends so they are no good. I found this out as I tried several sources.

C&R are brilliant from experience and quick to respond, if you only want them to do a deal on a complete kit or just a part they will sort it out promptly.

Yea they sound good not an expensive mod either if there good.u running 312 or standard or bigger?

Standard 288mm size but using mintex, the discs are about the same as the vw discs, the pads are a bit better, ideally ferrado pads are what you want but they come with a price.

The difference on a 288mm setup is quite considerable, from the bite to response. My mate has a AGU remapped as well but with stock brakes and it feels different by a considerable amount, before you use to glide into the wall now it jolts you forward on braking.
