Hi chaps
Gear box has gone in my 96 N plate vr6 vento 2.8... I was wondering will all vr6 gear boxes be the same ? Ebay seams to be full of vr6 gear boxes for mk3 golfs and i was wondering will a mk3 box fit my vento..
I would say yes but i dont wanna waste £200 on a duffer that wont fit lol...

Pretty sure all Golf VR's are the same, all the same engine code anyway, even if obd1 or 2 so should be ok mate.

am pretty sure all golf vrs as the same for that year just look at pics first to check bolt holes dont think the intearnals are any diffrent

Both the same AAA engine code for the 2.8 and ABV if it is a 2.9.
Golf / vento swap all ok.
