Hey guys, been browsing the forum for a few weeks like most newbies on here. Bought my Mk4 GT TDI 150 in the middle of January after driving a 1.0 litre 3 cylinder Corsa for nearly 2 years and YYYYOOOWWZZAARR I'm loving it. Such a massive jump in power, handling, everything!
When I bought the car I had no intentions of changing anything on it, as far as I was concerned it was the mutts nuts as it was. However since the wench has bought herself a new-ish Astra with vXr styling and posh wheels I've decided I'm gonna have to put her in her place. Balls to saving for the future (I'm 20).. I want new alloys! Well, and eventually a whole lot more but I won't run before I can walk!
I know basically naff all about cars so no doubt I'm gonna learn alot just by reading old posts but hopefully one day I might chirp up with something thats relevant and maybe even useful!
Thanks for having me!
Jim

Jimbop this is mad mate, you sound so alike me. I had a 3 cylinder 1.0 corsa for nearly THREE years before getting my 1.6 Mk4, i got mine at the end of December, and im not even far from you, portsmouth. And i too thought it was the danglies when i bought it, but am now doing loads of little bits to it, changing interior bulbs, fitting a shark fin ariel (a swear word on here i gather), rear lights and alloys when i can afford them. Anyway enjoy the forum, ive learnt loads and saved £££'s on small jobs already!
