They are ok for the money however I have heard Jamex ones are better.

They are still cheap coilovers at the end of the day.

Unless you need or want to go really low why not go for a set of quality springs and shocks.

So then if you were going for springs and shocks instead of coilovers what would guys on here recommend?

Im a big fan of springs and shocks! Ive gone 40mm on mine. Better quality ride than cheap coilies and still useable on a daily basis!

You will need to change the tyre size to avoid rubbing. Wayne can elaborate on that one..

As for shocks and springs i'm not a fan of cheap so i was running SPAX, they were awesome!

Now runnin AP coilovers on the fron and you can notice the difference..

Wheel size has no effect, well as long as you use the correct ratio tyre with them.
For 17's its 215/40 max but better to go for 205/40

well i was planing on 205/40/17s just gotta wait for some wheels to come up for sale  is 400 good for a set of pollished audi comp's and yes the ggen wheels

Just the wheels? No tyres?

I ran 205/40/17 with a offset of 35, had to trim the rear arches, TT comps are 32 offset from memory.
