I've just sprayed my rear votex valance myself using spray cans and I got a good colour match but the finish doesn't seem shiny enough. Here are a few pics to show what I mean.

Here is one on ebay that is much shinier.

To get a shinier finish is it as simple as applying more lacquer? I followed the instructions on the spray can which said just do 2 coats of lacquer. Is there anything else I can to do make it shinier?

did you use a gloss or metallic spray??

Reflex silver which is a metallic paint.

Thicker coats of lacquer (watch out for runs) then when you have left the lacquer to harden (few days) the use a cutting paste and polish :)
