Title: arm rest base metal
Post by: mcgee9t2 on 10 March 2011, 16:57
Accidently buggard the thread on the base of the arm rest, how much is a new one? Weighing up getting a new one over re-tapping this one then buying a bolt for it.

What part are you talking about? Top of the bracket?

Imagine your removing the arm rest, you've taken off the plastic on the side, then you undo the screw, the screw goes through the plate that's attached to the car and screws into the bottom of the arm rest, but the part it screws into can be taken off with one more screw, will try to get a pic tonight if noone knows what I'm on about.

If someone does and can explain it better then help me out :D

ok now at the bottom of that picture is the part im talking about, the hole you can see is were the screw goes into and the thread has been riped out of that. anyone know how much it is for a new one as there is a screw on the bottom of it so im guessing that takes it off and you can buy a new one.

cheers
