Being run by various folks I know, who have put on a lot of music events/festivals and are lining up a FG spread of bands for the weekend. Find out more here:
http://v-dubisland.com/
£25 per head for the weekend and under 14s go free with an adult.
Come and enjoy some of the (in)famous IOW hospitality.

Forgive me if I'm being stupid (probally am) but is this show for all types of vw? All I can see on the site is beetles and camper vans?!
Thanks

DH wouldn't have posted it if it was only for air bangers.

looks good. im from the i.o.w, but now live in leicester so im up for going bk for a weekend
-
As outlined by Nick - this is all-types. It's more about having a really chilled out weekend with some great bands, with a large slice of VW thrown in.
They got their license passed yesterday, too so it's on like Donkey Kong now.
Let me know if you're up for it, Nick - we live about a mile from the showground.
-
I like the sound of this and the location, something a little different.
What's the average price for a ferry to you these days?
-
too fooking much :lipsrsealed: anyone lend us a mk3 so we can sail over
-
Will be there...
Ferry will cost approx £50, welcome to our world lol
-
Site says there will be discounts on the ferries.

Correct.

you getting the syncro out for this?

Well it's not like there's a track for playing on, so not sure why I would.
TBH I'm more likely to put the Corrado on the road for this event - it's in the plan already.

Looked like a good weekend!
-
Really cool to have a dedicated VW event over here.
Speaking to Doug, who's one of the organisers it sounds like they've done OK, too so should be on again next year.
Get it dialed in the 2012 diary

All in all, it was a good enjoyable weekend. A good selection of vw's, mixed with a friendly atmosphere. Especially in the camping part of the site. The only suggestion i'd have would be an increased selection of catering van's next year. The music on offer was also good and varied, with the "dex fm" tent being my favourite. I'd highly recommend going to next year's event
