hi anyone run a vr6 without thermostat in at anytime?????????
-
you can do but just means that you engine will take longer to heat up which means the car will use more juice. why would you want to do that? because summer is on its way?

im having stress with the cooling first it blew matrix and top hose dashboard out sorted that and had to replace secondry water pumo then put new stat in run the car it got to 90 the fans came on and dont go off and it stays at 90 but the bottom hose is cold and when removed it water was cold making me think the stat is not opening, ihave checked in boiling water what do u reckon????

I would fix whatever is causing the problem.
Is the system over-pressurising?

Sounds like there's a blockage or pump has failed or possibly an air lock in the system bud.

^^This little point in removing the thermostat, find and fix the problem asap.

Sort it soon as mate as Vr's are prone to blow headgaskets and warp the head which will be expensive!

it might be worth checking to see if your water pump still has its fins attached as these have been known to break up on VR6's
