Post by: golf newbie on 08 March 2011, 18:58
Bit stumped tbh so i hope you can help..

I changed the front top mounts on my golf, did have a clunking noise before but only on full lock but wasnt as bad as it is now..

I have assembled the front strut correctly i rechecked several times lol

Is there any checks i can do to see what is making the noise if its a ball joint etc..

hope thats makes sense

Thanks

Jack the front up and see if there is any movement in the wheel.

Check wishbone bushes, aswell as ARB, make sure it's not loose.

Should be tightened with the wheels on the ground.
