Title: PCP Deals
Post by: KennyGTI on 08 March 2011, 07:23
Just a couple of questions about PCP deals if anyone could answer.

Do VW allow you to take out a PCP on a used car? Are you tied down to a PCP once you sign it?

Kenny, you can take pcp on a used car but the rates a crap. They're really only designed for newer cars, but I guess it depends how old the 'used' car is?
And yes, tied down the same as HP, unless you pay it off of course :)

Let me shed some honest salesman knowledge

Yes you can pcp used cars depending on age and mileage as they struggle to put a guaranteed minimum future value on a used car.

You can settle the agreement at any time just like hp, your car us worth x and the settlement is x

Rates on used car pcp can be crap depending on where you are getting it from, bigger the franchise the better deal on the finance. Inchcape hard to beat and at 3.99% flat rate available by us it's not that bad at all.

Thanks guys!

I was just wondering as I just like to keep my opitions open. I know financially I am better off keeping the GTI for another couple of years than being ripped off by the dealer.
