Title: Side skirt end cap

hey guys does anybody have a passenger side skirt cap (the one near the front arch that is common to fall off)
need one badly and by friday  at the latest for UD as mines fallen off :(

yea wouldnt think they would be but my cars in for a respray and i live in the middle of nowhere so no way of me getting to anywhere to get one :(

just bought two top strips for my side skirts and to end caps for mine from vw dealer end caps only cost £4.19p unlike the top stips at £36 each  :angry:

yeap they are like 4 quid, special order at leeds VW which takes 2 days max to arrive..

Hah well I think its that fat. And the only way to get there is the motor way from where I live. No buses or anything

These are always rusting. I've had good, cheap, success at my usual scrap merchants. I believe the skirts are the same on 3 and 5 door GTIs so there is always a ready supply.

sorry but 8 mile is like... real close.. mine is 7 mile from my house and no big deal.. if it was 40 mile away then fair do

I will say a couple of things about this thread

Buy new as old ones pop off very often and seem to only clip in correctly once (the push in covers are even worse!)
£36 for the insert  :shocked: (my local dealer sells them for about £25 complete with ends..even ecp sell them for the same!)
my local vw dealer is about 25 miles away (t.b.h kells F17BAD dealer is possibly my closest..) so 8 miles is worth a bike ride if you can't get there any other way

Boney is correct, his closest dealer will be the same as mine and he is 30 mile away from me.. need must n' all that

also agree new ones are the best as the clip becomes strained after its been removed once unless u use some glue to secure it

a) But the whole thing, as mentioned above it is about £25 a side with the end caps.
