Title: how easy is it

hi guys

Im new on here and new to vdubs if im honest,

few problems,

how easy is it to change the clutch in a 1994 mk3 gti 16v? would anyone be able to do it for me? im im the north west, near wigan. also how cheap can i get one for now as i need it for work asap like.

2, i have a sort of misfire/spit back at 3200 rpm either standing or in 1st 2nd and 3rd gear, any ideas? i get a little puff of smoke from the manifold when its hot.

i have other few issues but ill address them at a later date.

any help much appreciated.

Hello mate and welcome. Disconnect your maf and go for a test drive like that to see if it cuts out. It may stall though as airflow is unknown, but the misfire at 3000rpm is a classic symptom of a dodgy MAF. As for the clutch, I'm a little far away, Sorry! Have a look in the search function for anything else it could be if not the MAF, very common fault with Mk3s.  :wink:
