I had my car lowered a couple of months ago and I said I would post some before and after pics but I'm no David Bailey and it's taken me a while to sort them out, anyway, I don't know if anyone is interested (except eyeletboy who's wanting to lower his sportline?) but I thought I'd post them anyway. Just for the record, it's lowered on a budget kit called streetline (I think, or something like that) from ECP and consists of Ventura lowering springs and Bilstein shocks. Here they are anyway, excuse the pics, particularly the before shots, it's not a great camera but you get the idea and I didn't realise that there was so much space in the arches prior to lowering, so much so that British Airways used to have a flight path to Tenerife in there.?   The surface isn't entirely flat but the pics were taken on the same level so you can get an idea.?

Ah ! Yup, you are right Blue :embarassed:, I'll amend when I sort the big pics out. Now I know why I don't bother posting pics very often !

its the only reason i changed the springs on mine. my poor car looked like it was on stilts until the eibachs went on.

Right, finally sorted out the photos properly now, and also got my nearside and offside sorted out (leave it Blue?).? The before lowering pics are cr@p but you get the idea.

It's not lowered that much really, maybe 30 - 40mm, the pic in my sig is before it was lowered by the way. Like I said earlier it is a budget kit and it's called something like Streetline and you can get them from Euro Car Parts. If you look in the deals and discounts section on this forum and speak to Stuart, he'll also give you 10% off for using this site, but the discount is only for ECP in Leeds. I paid ?135 for shocks (Bilstein) and springs (Ventura) so can't complain really.

You've got a great cab their Gibby. Looks so much better lowered
-
Thanks Bronze. I've got a few things to do on it and a few more subtle mods to come in the future when I get some funds. Man it gets addictive !
-
Yeah it gets a bit like that
Love the interior on the Rivage, wouldn't mind some of that in mine
-
looks good! got a bilstein set up on mine, not too harsh a ride!! how low is the drop on that?

Not much really, 30 - 40mm tops.
-
measured the 40mm drop on my cab earlier and there seems to be plenty of clearance between the arch and the tyres.
-
same as mine, think its 30/40 mm drop! would have liked to have gone lower but didnt have the dollar for coil-overs!
-
nice one - might give that a try on my cabbie. it can be really hit or miss with lowering kits sometimes - i lowered my mk2 and the front end is now lower than the back ? so it's good to see what results someone else has had with a kit before and after
-
has a far nicer stance now that its been dropped!
-
Looks awesome Gibby. Much better
-
Looking much better now mate, but I still reckon you can just go a bit lower!!!!
-
Stop it now Ads, this is all your fault in the first place !
I've got a list of things I want to do to her now.
