hello all. ive ripped through some pattern pads in no time with my grooved disks, and need to change them. ive used £30 black diamond pads before, thinking that as theyre a bit dearer and match the make of the disk that they would be better, but this wasnt the case. they wore just as quick as a set of £10 apec jobbies, and the dust is killing my ronals. what sort of makes do you lot recommend for enthusiastic road use? be nice if they lasted longer and didnt dust as bad, but still work from the off.??????

Pagid pads from GSF are made of a hard compound, and last longer that most.

Plus you'll wear down your pads at a slower rate and have much less dust if you swap to vented discs.
I have Brembo vented discs and pagid pads - very nice.
Unless you are regularly slamming on the brakes from high speed then groved discs and not needed. The grooves/holes are there to disperse the gasses created by the pad friction to stop them fading at high temperature. You wont get to that high temperature from normal driving.

Nah the disks are staying, there a big improvement. Aside from their pad killing properties..a mate mentioned goodridge? Said they're not the cheapest but well worth the extra? Well it def seems there is a difference, jus not with b/d pads!.will give those names mentioned so far a whirl

plain bermbo disks and ebc yellows work very very well

I'm running brembo grooved and green stuff pads. I don't seem to get much brake dust, and it stops well too
