Title: interior light stays on
Post by: Luke1981 on 05 March 2011, 13:46
The interior light switch  ( doors open setting ) stays on when all the doors are closed and the ignition is on. I have checked all the electrical plungers on each door and they appear fine. Any ideas what might be causing this ?

Cheers

Luke

I checked that and its on the open door setting and just stays on. Obviously I can just turn the switch to the off position and leave it turned off, but a bet you the mrs will turn it on and leave it, and hey presto I get called to jump start the battery

cant see anything obvious to cause it, cos if it was the door pin i dont think my central locking would work, however i could be wrong, gonna go check..

Pop the little plastic cover off, remove the bulb and check for any moisture around the area. Mine did this a few weeks ago, i'm assuming that it was caused by moisture gathering around the light. I dried it all out and the problem was solved
