Hi all, I need to get a new car as mine has just been written off :(
I would really like a 30Ed, but they are like an extra 5K
could someone please list the differences
-
Hi Max
Big differences (from memory):
* extra 30 bhp :cool:
* colour-coordinated bottom trim
* half cloth half leather interior, front seats heated
* 2zone climate control
* smoked rear light clusters
* Edition30 logoing, mats, golf-ball steering knob
I think that's about it. The Pirelli has much the same kit as the Ed30, the only differences I'm aware of are the interior trim, smoked glass from B-pillar back, and oc Pirelli tyres (if done 'properly'). But I think I've only ever seen 2 Pirellis.

2 zone climate control is standard on all UK GTIs. It also has 18 inch Pescara alloys.

Search tool has plenty of info.

Save your money. Buy a GTI and remap it. Bingo, faster than an ED30 with £4500 in the pocket to go to Thailand with.
-
Heres the pirelli info too.
To me its more exclusive and better as everyone and there dog has an edition30 :grin:
Some Pirelli info for the original thread poster.

Hope thats some help to you.
:smiley:
It all depends what you want.
If your into modding then the edition 30 is better than a standard GTI as it has more BHP scope as it has the uprated internals engine and larger turbo.
But not everyone wants more power etc if your happy with 200PS or a chipped GTI~250PS then the normal one is probably a better option.
