Buy the tool, its common for the piston to get stuck.

haynes manual is sh!te! you cant do it with circlip pliers.. just ordered the tool but dosent help with fact car is off the road till monday :sad:

As mentioned, f**k the circlip pliers and use a proper wind-back tool.
