Post by: Splinter on 20 April 2005, 12:29: Great find. I've always know about the 'downgrade' of BHP for the 16v, but have only just got myself my 1st VW 'runaround', after owning all sorts of Fords, Vauxhalls, Scoobies, etc.

If standard BHP is 170, then surely it can be upped from 150 to about 180+ though!

Where can I get a decent chip? I've been lookin in all the mags for the last two weeks to get one.

Post by: Andeh on 20 April 2005, 14:54: If it's just a case of a new chip then it may be worth speaking to AMD in Bicester. They seem to be the dons when it comes to ecu upgrades on VW's.
