I was impressed to see the average mpg of my mk6 when I brought it home on a motorway run. Average speed of 70 - 80 mph I got ~36mpg as compared to my mk 5 which would average 32mpg.
Ah well its a saving!
Anyone else noticed this?

WHITEY, I am so pleased for you but a new thread about your fuel consumption repeats what has been discussed in the past in great depth. I have found the search function very beneficial. Perhaps tagging on to a relevant past thread would help continuation.

Oooh! Get you!

The MK6s MPG figures are better than the MK5 so thats sort of to be expected isnt it?

And the fuel economy of Mk6 GTD is better than the Mk6 GTI and the Mk6 Golf R is the worst of the lot. So what, I ask you.

Never paid attention to this type of thread until I bought my mark6 and had to fill it up!
