Changing pads, discs and wheel bearing on the rear of my mk3. Got as far as removing the two bolts that hold the caliper holding bracket in place but they are locked solid with rust and i cannot seem to budge them.. Wondered if you guys have any ideas on how to remove them, is there anything there that would be damaged by heating them? I could only think brake pipes but i can get those clear of the heat. Its got dark and cold now so I have packed it in for the evening but will be back on it on the morning!
Cheers

this very topic came up yesterday , I managed to free the bolts with a chisel and lump hammer

Yeah I may have to give that a go, shame I lost light as that would have probably been my next step. To say they are tight is an under statement....

Just buy irwin extractors.
Why chisel them or drill them when you can simply undo them?
