Hi all, we are looking to join a nice forum full of other GTI lovers! and think we have found it right here, the forum looks top notch!
We are Husband (Lee) & Wife (Lottie) living in sunny Bradford in West Yorkshire
We just got our 1st Golf (after begging Lottie for ages for one) it's a standard 3 door 1999 1.8T GTI in black, needs a few things to get it top notch but all in good time, really impressed with the car... drives really nicely with a fair bit of power too & handles very nicely, it is at a vw specialist on tuesday to have a new oil sump (leaking from sump plug and it has been gashed and is leaking oil) another problem which i hear is common is the boot will not open :undecided: but i am still really happy with the price i paid for it (£1100), it has 124k but with almost full vw service history.... gonna have a major service done at the end of the month :)
Dont know what else to say really other than i am looking forward to being a part of the community here on golfgti
Btw this is Lee here, Lottie is at work (webuyanycar.com) :smug:
Oh yeah Lottie loves her Jap cars she has owned a Swift gti, Starlet turbo & a Subaru Impreza uk300 but she is loving the golf so far! (i keep saying 'i told you their good cars')

Welcome to the site. :afro:
Where in Bratfud are you ? Chris Appleby is on Cemetary road so are you far from there ? I know the guys at Ladyroyd garage round the corner and they used to look after my cars when I lived over that way. Parents still live up by the BRI.
I used to live in Wakey too, Horbury, it's nice round there. Funnily enough I've now moved to the top of Denby Dale road to Huddersfield.

I used to hate playing football up there. It's got it's own weather system and playing in the cold and rain was never pretty.
