Ayup, ive been looking for a mint set of mk3 vr6 leather seats, but ive seen Porsce tombstones on ebay fairly cheap that look sexyfull.
Are there any tried and tested Porsche seats that fit in a mk3 with just the obvious mods to subframes?
Im talking front seats as i wil just get mk3 rears.
Or what else fits into mk3s without them looking too wide etc?
S3
Cupra
Ibiza
Did a search but nothing slapped me in the face.
Cheers.

Nothing fits straight in due tothe mk3 subframes, easy enough to sort with a welder etc.
-
most seats on any car other than standard normally need subframes made up or fabricating old mk3 subframes to fit..
-
Im not phased by the fabrication,as im in engineering but i just wondered what worked, size wise, its hard to get a grasp of the size of things without seeing them, which is difficult.
Been loking at these, which i like, but not too sure how high they will sit etc.
Might just buy some and have a look, then sell them on if they look wanky pants.

Porsche seats will be fine, Ibiza and S3 are also good choices, will not be any bigger than standard.

Lovely job,cheers Wayne.
Hopefully whatever seats i get in the front, will have the same shade black leather as the standard mk3s.Otherwise it will be retrim time which i dont really want to do just yet.

Very nice.
Im taking it you have the grey leather in the back?
Did the subframes take much welding? Are they manual or electric adjustment?
-
Yes. Refurbished and recoloured Vw grey leather to match the porsche's along with the door panels. Just need to do the headrests.

Click my sig, info is in there on the subframes on last few pages. It wasn't too difficult. Back and forward is manual electric tilt.

Cheers for the link, looks simples with the subframe then, will fab something up at work.
Just got to find a nice set thats local now.

Depending on what you are looking for. Tombstones are usually half the price of the hard backs.. Which the going rate for are ~£500 from porsche breakers. Luckily i got a bargain. :afro:

Well ive been bidding on these but i think they will go for much more than the £450 im wanting to pay.

Black ones are nice. Looks like they will go for alot. Runners look different to mine also. Boxster tombstones are £250 in leather from a breakers and they will fit like mine.
This place was very helpful. Click (http://www.douglasvalley.co.uk/results.asp?pgid=2&spg=84) Sent me lots of pics etc but i managed to find a set on ebay.
