Can anyone tell from these pics how much lower our 8v GTI has been lowered by?? Got a damaged rear spring and a leaky shock (pot holes!) so have decided to replace with a new lowered kit its just previous owner didn't know how much it was lowered by  on 205 15s. stock wheels.
Iam thinking 60mm. All the info I can find on shock is PI silver logo sticker and 69077 and G070605. muat be old model no.s as they are not on the PI site.
We like the ride height, What do u slammed golf owners reckon. pics taken at wheel level. anyone got pics of their golfs lowered 60mm on stock 15s?

Thanks So you reckon its 35mm as that is all thats available for this model/year in the PI brand range (35mm or 60mm).
Anyone got pics of 35mm drop ?
would a 60mm drop cause any tyre rub or other probs ?
cheers fellas

i uploaded some pics of mine the other day at the top of the forum headings , & thats 35/40 & on 16` alloys & its more than low enough especially with a splitter fitted... looks good & no tyre rub ;)

60mm drop is a lot lower, for a everyday car 35/40mm is fine.

This pic is 40mm all round, yours looks lower on the back than mine
overall ride height looks the same though and I have skirts fitted making it look lower, so yours may be lower all round?

No way is it 60/40, my front is down about 60mm and looks like this:

I did however manage to do this yesterday

teach you for buying cheap splitters!
and i meant 60 at the back

If they are Pi springs then it will be 40mm all round but the rears have gone soft.

Thanks for all the replies
Ordered a Jamex 40mm lowering kit (as it was £100 cheaper than the PI) not as much to spend sorting the golf as just slammed and narrowed my 60s bug.

Spring is broke on rear of golf so may look a touch lower (although sure it has always been this height).
Nice looking GTI dom sweet stance

VR lip touched constantly so it had the CL/GTI one on.
Still didn't look THAT low though to me.
Was about 110mm at the front IIRC, not much on the rear cause there was SOOO much tuck it just looked gay.
