The wife and i are looking to buy a mk5 gti or ed30,
was wondering if theres anything we should look out for, we have about £12000 to spend,
Hopefully we should get a half decent one for that ..

Hi Mark, welcome. Personally, I would be looking at a decent gti rather than a poor ed 30 for that money :afro:

Thanks jeynesey for the welcome, you think gti then ok, so for that should we be able to get a good spec.

This is owned by an enthusiast and I can vouch for it being in excellent condition.

Ok then! So it's not got a better engine or better wheels or better body kit or better interior?! I'd catagorically say it's a better car the question wasn't about price but on that note there are many normal GTIs that are way over priced and cost more than the equivalent ed30 with similar age milage etc. :)
