90 mile for me too Stuwart but enjoyed and was worth the trip compared to the saving. Excellent service. Expected lower class service at price I paid but no; top class and I would recommend to anyone.

I spec'd winter pack but thought it were screen wash level indicator, heated jets and washers for bi-xenons not heated seats.
The Winter pack - Headlight washers, heated front seats, heated windscreen washer jets and low washer fluid warning light for £365.

Winter pack in conjunction with leather upholstery - Headlight washers, heated windscreen washer jets and low washer fluid warning light for £260.

Winter pack in conjunction with Bi-Xenon headlights - Heated front seats and heated windscreen washer jets for £345.

Winter pack in conjunction with Bi-Xenon headlights and leather upholstery - Heated windscreen washer jets for £240.

Is that your own personal plate?

Where's the heated windscreen button??? lol
You mean the heated washer button? I believe they are heated when the heated rear screen is switched on but I could be wrong as I don't have them. The heated rear window button is the right-hand one above the heater controls above the A/C switch. The heated mirror switch is on the mirror adjust joystick on the door.

I know its new but its always a good idea to have a read of the handbook though you probably won't find what your looking for.

I know it sounds sad(espescially to the wife) but I love to read the hand book and get to know all the ins n outs of my car! Top tip(well was on mk5)to position wiper blades verticle(to enable them to be lifted for washing windscreen) turn ignition on/off, then push down RHS wiper stalk down....it helps for cleaning + good party trick   :lipsrsealed:

p.s. off topic but I still haven't fitted those bloody new front bulbs yet. But seeing as I've had to delay our holiday by a week  ( as my son's got chicken pox and isn't allowed to fly ) I may just get a chance to fit them this weekend.

Yeah I know Ian, I managed to get them to a price not too far away from yours although they were going to retail it at £11,295. I rang up and put the deposit on it on Monday and another salesman had went out this morning and put £11,999 in the window! I dealt with John (don't know his second name)

Pick it up 10:30am Sunday morning, hope it's a good one because I've bought it before getting chance to see it!

Enjoy your new car!

Matt

Very nice motor mate. Hope it's worth the wait, how long was the wait in the end? I've still got 2 months to wait, it seems to be taking forever!

Loving the front led's I bet they look beaut in the flesh, rarely see any GTI's let alone one's with front LED's! How is the running in a few days in, everything you were expecting and have you opened her u yet?

LED's front and back and the wheels make the car for me, very happy.
Still finding little excuses just to go out in it!

Hmmm - that does look nice. Looks well as a 5 door too

I like the three door as well but the Golf isone of the few cars that looks good as a 3 or 5 door and in a number of colours too - that was my hardest decision - started with red then it came down to a white or black and which one I could get for my money - black won but white would have been just as nice.

Black pearl was my origional choice but the wife twisted my arm and convinced me about white and that it was cheaper(non-metalic) and we could have another extra instead - SOLD white it was.

The scaffolder has been a complete **** about the damage he caused so apart from taking him to court, I've lost him three jobs through the fact that I told my builder they lose my business unless they disassociate with him. All I know that he's from my home town-Barnsley, all salesmen seem genuine tho. Are you looking to buy a mark6 or do you own one? Are you local?
Whitey, I've spoken with Paddy a few times and he seems a nice genuine guy,  The white GTI I saw may have been a customers for the new reg handover so may have already been sold but there is usually always a GTI in stock at elland road vw

James, do you just love the GTI in siver or didn't you want a change? I loved my mk5 in red but felt it wouldn't seem much of a change if I went for the same colour. Opted for mk6 in white
Congrates on the new car. Looks great especially like the Front LEDs, wish that was an option when I ordered.

I hope you enjoy the car.

Cheers, Whats your spec KGreenway?
Very nice motor mate. Hope it's worth the wait, how long was the wait in the end? I've still got 2 months to wait, it seems to be taking forever!

Loving the front led's I bet they look beaut in the flesh, rarely see any GTI's let alone one's with front LED's! How is the running in a few days in, everything you were expecting and have you opened her u yet?
Its been a 6 month wait and yes it was worth it. Everything I expected plus the heated seats!
LED's front and back and the wheels make the car for me, very happy.
Still finding little excuses just to go out in it!
If gave her a little tickle lol!

Darren,
As you do lots of motorway driving white would be impractical.
Hope you are well.

Ah but there is something very therapeutic and rewarding in washing a car and then seeing it clean and gleaming! (especially when the sun shines afterwards )

Whitey20 mine is a 5 Door GTI in Candy White with Monza Shadows, RCD510, Dynaudio, Winter Pack and Bluetooth Telephone Prep.  Was so tempted by either the Xenons or ACC, but couldn't justify the extra spend   A bit gutted on the Xenons now with having the DLR's..especially with your pics!

Sooo looking forward to it coming, seems to be taking forever.

Didn't I see you'd gone to the Dynaudio?  If so, whats your impressions?  I'm as eager to hear what that is like as haven't actually seen or heard in the flesh..

Dynaudio sounds good but not reall played with it yet. The xenons are expensive but I had 'em on mk5 and didn't want to go back to standard. DLR LED's and rear LEDs big bonus, didnt know about them when I ordered, found out in January. Is yours manual or DSG?

Yeh see I've never had the luxury of them on my MK5, so I figured I wouldn't probably miss them this time around!  Mines a Manual.  Was your MK5 a DSG?

They're "Bridgestone Potenza's". I believe they change manufacturers from time to time.

Cheers for the welcome Whitey20 & Snoopy. Nah, I didn't get a full tank from them, they gave me a bouquet of Interflora(!) and a GTI key ring instead. Pleased as punch with my stealth bomber though.

Have driven an Alfa 156 for the last 10 years, was a great car but this little beauty is something else. What amazing cars they are.
