Needless to say I am green with envy.
You'll need new rubber once your zipping is over.
Get some Michelin Pilot Super Sports on your return. Pictures galore please.
Enjoy!

I've got a similar trip booked buy the missus is coming part of the way. Can't wait

You will love it Neil, just booked my trip for this year as well

Take plenty of money for fuel and and laps of the ring soon goes when your travelling a fair lick
Also check with your insurance company that your covered... if not take out separate insurance for the track time.
-
Hope the Noble 400 does not breakdown and you end up towing it.
-
You lucky GTi, Neil
If I ever booked a trip away from the missus, I would be in serious trouble, so enjoy it while she is sane !!!

Don't forget to swap your headlight bulbs etc, as you will be on the wrong side of the road !
And keep a high-vis jacket in your boot if you're driving through France

No idea Neil, but for the continent they will need swapping.
Can anyone else confirm?

Thanx Mike a true gent as ever
i bet them screws aren't easy to get too thou

Yep, looks like it could be awkward especially on the passenger side as it is very hard to see in..
I used a mirror on the MK5 which helped a bit.
The workshop manual mentions removing the headlight first which means removing the bumper

Nap not happy with that, bit of sticky black plastic like the old days should do the trick
-
There is an option in the MFA with xenon equipped cars to set it to the other side
I cannot remember what its called at the moment but something like travel??? Its in the manual anyway.

This one Snoopy, does this need to be enabled with VCDS?

Make the most of this. When I started a thread with the same title, in the same circumstances (going to Germany), it was dumped in the general forum area and hardly got a reply after that.
It died the death.
Rolfe.

I remember that. I thought it was most unfair, nay mean, and very narrow minded.

And I posted all these nice piccies, too.
Which come to think of it may be 404ing right now, and I should sort them out on the server they should have been on in the first place....

I wonder if thats why a lot of people complain about getting flashed with xenons? Perhaps they have that box ticked and are blinding oncoming traffic
Probably not.
-
IIRC thats it. I would need to check my car to be 100% sure but won't be able till Saturday to do so. But you can see the beam pattern and the lights move as you select it.
-
Neil if the travel setting needs vcds'ing let me know and ill do the new bluetooth for you while your here, Not had chance to get back to you mate sorry, been working none stop

Watch out for adenauer forst. Buy the track notes and learn the corners. GT5 is pretty good for learing the corners but it gives no clue as to the hilly nature of the track. Try to crack 10 mins. If you have the opportunity paint golfgti.co.uk on one of the corners.

You've been away too long.
Don't touch the stuff anymore due to the economic situation in the country.
It's the TV series with that big tall woman writer Jessica as the detective genius.
I am just jealous that you have Xenons and I don't, so I'd like to murder you.
