Title: LED bulbs
Post by: Agreeable Slick on 28 February 2011, 20:21
Am going to try and crisp up the lighting on the motor, so....

LED bulbs, was after some for the front, and also for the rear numberplate lights. I've checked the other threads on this for links to ebay and the links are now dead, so what have you got for the rear plates?

I'm currently thinking these (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/501-W5W-12V-Canbus-Error-Free-LED-Light-Bulbs-White-UK-/280518812068?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item41503961a4) for both front and rear?

I don't want anything fancy, just a nice crisp white light for the sidelights and rear plate, so please post you links to the ones you use, and if possible pictures showing the example of lighting.

Cheers.

Nice one, thanks for the pics.

I'm not bothering with the inside for now, as when I'm driving I dislike puddle lights, or basically anything that can distract me from the road. Plus I won't be at any shows where inside lighting is going to be able to be shown off as such. Only thing I might get around to doing is changing the dash clocks, to a white foil, like the new golf's/passats etc have.

Buy a SAAB then with it's magic "turn all the interior lights off except the speedo" switch.

That is a trick wee touch, one of those "I shouldn't be impressed, but I totally am" moments

Retro fitting into a VW would be pretty tidy, might have a crack at that when I do the dash on mine.
