Title: wind noise driving me mad
Post by: crazy_e on 26 February 2011, 22:13
i have been looking at getting wind deflectors for my car as i like to have the window open a touch when driving as i dont have aircon in my car and i like the fresh air anyway

has any one else used these? or does anyone know where i can get hold of some ?

I'm guessing he meant to say 'the bay' rather than 'the pay', so eBay would be your best bet

They look really good. Any pics with the window open and of the fitment?

No, want me to try and get some tomorrow for you? As for the fitment itself, its top quality regarding material and fit...and was a 10 minute job max. And they do make a difference both in noise reduction and keeping wind out of the cabin when you have the window down a bit.

I've got no money at the moment, but this is something I've been wanting to do for a while. I'll come to you when the time comes

Oh    And here I was thinking you were on commission

Yes please, just looking at where it clips on to. The ones I've seen (in Brazil anyway) are glued to the door on the metal, around the window seal.

These though look really tidy as they don't cover up the seal and look small

ok but there wont be much to see - there are no fixings, they fit inside the window seal. They are kind of tapered down to a fine point so they dont get in the way of the glass too much. Its hard to explain. They are an extremely tight fit, you need to kind of "bend" them ever so slightly when fitting, but trust me once theyre in, they aint falling out!
