Has anyone got a picture of a standard rear strut off the car.

Basically what I want to know is does number 8 go inside number 7. Or do they stay seperate.

I think 7 attaches to the bottom of 8, but doesnt really matter too much. Mine have come apart.

8 (The bumpstop) clips into the top of 7 (dust guard). there should be a rim for it to sit into but this may have long gone if you're still using the original foam bump stops as they perish with age.

Bought all brand new bump stops, covers and shocks... But because my old ones had all perished and fell apart I want to make sure i put all the new bits on correctly...

Yes no 8 clips to no7 it is a dust shield, not sure on no3 could it be a anti rattle thing.  :smiley:
