Title: swapping power steering racks and/or engines

I have 3 mk2 golfs ;2 8valves and 1 gtd.
The engine on my daily driver 8v,needs replacing so ive bought a gti with decent engine and power steering.Is it possible to put the power steering off the gti on to the gtd?
And is it possible to plant a  diesel engine into a 8vgti?

Any replies would be much appreciated

You should be able to put the power steering in as long as all the bits are there. Theres no reason why you shouldn't be able to swap engines as well. You just need lots of time and patience, or plenty of cash.
