Title: Do Ibiza Recaro fit a MK2 or Mk3 Golf??

Hi, does anyone know if seat ibiza abf recaro seats fit a mk2 or mk3 golf? My local breakers have a set which they are selling for £50.

I believe they will fit mk2 subframes with mods.

As will mostly every other seat.

i thought ibiza fronts were a direct fit in a mk2

Richard, i think it must be the early ibiza which is a direct fit for a mk2. The ibiza which has these recaros has a ABF motor but i'm unsure of the model - it's a lime green one. Was hoping it would be a direct fit  :cry:

i still think they are the same fitment and if they dont fit put them on ebay and im sure you would get more than your money back

If they are still there next weekend i'll will buy them and try to fit them - will post the answer either way. Hopefully it will be positive news

Pretty sure that's the Ibiza GTi.

Not too sure on the seats though, difficult to google is as it can't differentiate between Seat and seat!  :rolleyes:

Ha ha your getting them for me on Monday as I think that lass on the counter has a soft spot for you and you might get them cheaper lol

pretty sure that year biza is MK3 Golf fitment for the seats. also i think the recaros are like mk3s in that they dont have subframes that unbolt, unlike mk2 recaros that do

Got my seats today and the overall condition is good - no bolster wear on either front seat but passenger seat has a tear in rear pocket.

i like how they say gti 16v really sets them off.. not keep on head rests tho but hey cant have everything lol
