Title: Breather hose and vacuum hose sizes for 8v GTi?

Hi all,

Can anybody tell me the sizes needed for these? Having a pig to find out and dont want to pay through the nose at VW dealership.

Vacuum hose you can get off any DIY/motor parts store, can't remember the size, but it's not expensive.

Breather hose it's best to get it from VW, and in fact I think only VW sell them. They're not TOO expensive, last time I read of someone buying one it was around £40 I think.

I just got the dual exitoiln bretahre hose that goes from rocker cover to intake pipe for £15 from my local vw dealer buddy

Thanks guys.

Picked up some 3mm pipe for the vacuum and managed to get some tubing the right size for the breather which I will mould to shape and fit as a very kind friend of mine has offered me a free breather pipe which he is posting.

Just going to fit the generic pipe as a test over the weekend till the genuine bit arrives...
