Hello one and all, the Mrs has an A3 1.8T, on a 2001 and has popped up the engine management light, problems being below
17705 – Problem code P17705 / Turbo Pressure / Valve
17545 – Problem code P1137 Fuel Trim Bank?
17704 – Problem code P1296 Error in mass cooling System / Temp Sensor / Thermostat……
Any ideas people on a fix or are it in to an approved Audi / VW garage next week?
Kind regards

clear the codes and see what comes back, some of those could be really old.
3rd code looks like stat or temp sender issue, does the dash read funny? it should sit in the middle after a short while and never move from there
-
That is does, sits dead in the middle, but gets there very quickly!

hmm. maybe put vag-com on to read the measuring blocks, check ecu temp sensor readout is sensible. also have a read thru the coolant system checking/bleeding guide, maybe your waterpump is getting weak? the guide is in the mk2 maintenance section for some reason
-
Cheers Jonny, The garage seem to think it's the lambda sensor? sound right?
-
possible, have you checked the measuring blocks yet to see what ecu temp sensor is showing

The what and where?
Got this from another...... http://www.audifans.net/ftopicp-235715.html#235715

in vag-com there is a feature called measuring blocks, you use this to see what sensor values the ecu is seeing amongst other things. you can use it to read the ecu temp sensor, throttle position etc.
