Title: Dash light and heater control lights & rear electric window
Post by: MK3 Menace on 23 February 2011, 08:59
Hi all,

Right corner of dash and the heater control panel seems to have no working light anymore.

How much of a pig is this to fix?

Also, the rear electric window is broken, do these come off the rail like the MK4's or is it a case of the motors going?

Thanks,
Dan

All very common problems mate. If u do a search, all should return guides and all are retry easy fixes. Electric window regulators usually break where the clamp attaches to the cable. A new regulator will be needed for a proper fix, but my passenger one has been cowboyed and sort of works! Not too expensive for a new one though.

I would just try the switch first on the window or what I had to do with mine was remove the door panel and give it a bang with a hammer which freed it up.Failing that whats beem mentioned above Ive never had to go that far but as metioned plenty of guides around how to do it.On the clocks that will be a bulb more than likely clocks are very simple to remove again do a search.Heater panel bulb is I think behind the centre dial see if I can find the guides
