Title: brakes pedal not as sharp
Post by: jmorris on 22 February 2011, 21:18
hey guys , ive recently replaced my master cylinder and abs pump on my 16v gti, ive bled the system 3 times using an easybleed kit and vcds for the pump.my problem is that wih the engine off the pedal is hard as it should be but as soon as i start the engine the pedal travels further down before the brake kick in, when they do kick in they work fine. is this normal? my pads on the rear have seen better days so maybe i should change them to see if that helps
any suggestions would be great.
cheers
jake

The pedal should sink a little when you start the engine (shows the servo is working)

Replace the rear pads and see how they are then.
