hi there, my golf gti 16v mk2 is too low for every day use and would like to no what the standerd ride height was so i know what coilovers to get next,

You wont get std ride hight with coilovers mater, just std suspension setup will get you that High. You dont want to go that high anyhow, just buy a decent set and max them out, should only be a 50mm drop from standard if that

Just fit a quality set of shocks and springs.

reply to caistor_bmx, just wanted to find the standerd ride height so i know how low a aftermarket kit would be

so if you buy a set of coilovers that lower in the range of, say, 40-100mm, your 16v would be a minimum of 10mm below its standard ride height....

30mm was standard drop wasnt it?! or am i thinking later on in the evolution of the gti! :undecided:

@ OP u can never be too low! sump damage is like scars to women...they make u look cool! :grin:
