Title: Aniversary kits
Post by: damien010685 on 22 February 2011, 18:12
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/VW-GOLF-MK4-25th-ANNIVERSARY-FULL-BODY-KIT-NK-Tuning-/360241385764?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item53e00f5124

Anyone know if these are any good or does anyone know of any better ones?

The best anniversary kit is the genuine one obviously but if your going to go rep then ABS plastic is a must. The fibreglass stuff is poorly made and can be a pig to fit. I've thought about getting a rep kit due to lack of funds but decided to wait until I can get all genuine bits. The re sale value of genuine bits are far greater than 2nd hand rep parts too.

Try PM'ing nadlad on here as he was selling an ABS anni front valance replica for £75 delivered. Not sure if he got rid or not. If he hasn't got it he'll be able to tell you where on ebay he got it.

Here is where he got the valance from http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Full-Body-Kit-VW-GOLF-4-IV-25-th-ANNIVERSARY-ABS-/310279846235?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item483e1eb95b#ht_4865wt_1230 (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Full-Body-Kit-VW-GOLF-4-IV-25-th-ANNIVERSARY-ABS-/310279846235?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item483e1eb95b#ht_4865wt_1230). That is a link to the full kit which they also sell. Still PM him tho as he can explain about the fitment of the valance and the service they give.

Fibreglass kits are bad news and nearly always need lots of work to fit.

If your on about the front valance it is from the same guys in the link I posted. I got the info from the thread on ukmkiv's. Nadlad was the guy who did a group buy on the front valance so he'll be the best to comment.

Easiest way is to remove bumpers and they held on with tabs.. Easier to remove rear by undoing screws an yanking it hard
