I'm looking to paint body colour (white in this instance) the lower grill surround.
There's a picture somewhere on a forum of this mod and IMO looks terrific.
Anyone know if it's a bumper off job or maybe a tad easier. Although I've done my fair share of masking up in my
years. Never quite the same is it, and those fins either side make it less so. As always any help would be appreciated.

Would be a bumper off mate I think. Not a hard job to do, just lots n lots of torq screws! I have always thought painting these bits would give the car a much more aggresive look. Any pics of the one you saw?

Makes it look like a good looking R.
Probably look good on a red car.

Actually NOT the car I've seen. I will post a pic if I can manage it.
Believe me it's a massive improvement, as poster says gives the car an immediate R front end.
The car I'm referring to had black mirrors, black top grill lines (not red) this and RS4 alloys. Looks like a factory car to me.
Anyway HTF! do I paint it chaps?

The Mk6 has it painted just its metallic grey. It was part of the design because the designers were going for the illution of making the car look wider and less tall. This is why its that colour to make the car look less tall and more wide.
