Mine is going on the 16v, tis reading 13.3v rather than 14.4v across the battery. So in short, what can I grab one off or does it have to be a valver? :smiley:

That is with the engine running I take it? What is it across the alternator terminals? Volt drop may mean you've got 14 at the alt? Is your alt light on when running?

No light wasnt on, I thought the battery was fubar but the other night she broke down on me and quickly sat the voltmeter on the two battery terminals and it read 13.4 so not sure who is doing what. Need to borrow a voltmeter again me thinks

Yeah, if the light comes on on ign, then goes out it shows its not broken down completely inside, though it could be weak maybe? If it eventually dies it does sound alternator related, you'll know if you charge it/swap battery 4 another known one and it flattens again..
