Why on earth didn't I buy quad headlights sooner! Especially on a black car, 18months but got there in the end! Lol
And played with pic a bit.. :)

Resprayed all covers and grill etc just need to replace drivers cover as cracked, have found some so alls good! :)
-
Looks good bud just got a set for mine too look far better than standard lights imo.
-
dose look good on a black car mate
-
They completely change the front of the car don't they? I love mine!
-
Yeah, they def make a difference, just need a 60/40 drop, camber sorting, couple of small rust patches and a really good touch up n polish, but it is never ending! :)
Would like some of those 16v rear lights that have factory smoked indicators, but big money for lights, may try lamin-x to sort it..
-
Looks really good, would be better lowered.
-
Did mine as soon as I could!

Will soon, was gonna get hottunning coilies, but overall the reviews were not great, don't have money to burn, so looking to get a shock/spring kit, on the budget side but hopefully they should lower and still have some ride to em. Was looking and 60 on the front isnt a lot, however it wouldn't go up my dads ramps when I need help so maybe 40 all round would be more sensible... :(
The nearest garage I've found that's interested in working on it charges 48 an hour so the more I cando the better!

Shock and spring kit is much better than cheap coilovers.

The quads look ace and suit mk3s really well im still going for a vento front end on my car but I wont be parting with my quads untill I sell the car as they are such a great mod.As for the coilovers im running the Hottunning ones off ebay and I really cant see what the problem is to be honest my car handles better since I had them fitted.I had Bilston shocks with lowering springs on my VR6 cant remember what the springs were now but the whole set up was far more than my coilovers and it felt like jelly on a plate really poor maybe just the setup I had.

Lol, sorry bud!

I still think coilovers are just as good I think your wheel spec and tyres have some play in ride quality my own car is running standard wheels with the correct profile tyres but if I was running bigger wheels with far lower profile tyres then the ride quality changes so for me my coilovers are fine.
-
id rather have the coilovers too, my jamex ones have been great in the last 3 years and 30k miles

Aren't hottunning, Jom, Jamex all the same thing? If not are Jom and Jamex the same? I fess cos running standard wheels/tyres I may get a reasonable ride at a reasonable drop..

Im not sure tbh Kell might be able to tell you my friend is running some Jom coilovers and he said there pretty decent think there abit more expensive than Hottuning.
-
All the parts of the lower end coilovers are manufactured from the same spec material, probably by the same manufacturers then distributed to Jamex, Jom, HotTuning etc for assembly.
For £160 with a 3 year warranty and delivered to your door you would be silly not to go coilovers, you have the option to raise/lower the car until you are happy with it.
I dont doubt that shock/spring set is a better produced option, but for a daily, coilovers all the way
Just an example of certain manufacturers using the same equipment, Ginetta cars use NON oem Ford track rod ends for some of their cars FACT
-
Some people seem to have no issues with the cheaper coilovers however mine was not level, they were noisy plus way too hard for day to day use.
I would never use them again.
-
I know they're cheap and give you the flexibility to change the ride height but i simply can't understand why you'd deliberately want to ruin all remaining comfort and jeopardise the the cars safety by fitting inferior components. The amount of threads ive read on various websites about people moaning how their car skips down the road or struts have snapped or collapsed is ridiculous.
At the end of the day the suspension is a major part of the vehicle so why compromise for the sake of getting a few extra ''scene points'' and saving a few quid?

I dont fit inferior components to my car neither do I fit coilovers cause I want to be in the scene.I use my car daily 120 to 160 miles a week sometimes more and nothing has every snapped off it and it dont skip down the road.

Yep, hence why I would never use them again, very bouncy with no comfort at all.

As ive already said Wayne I dont fit sh*t to my car mate mine are fine maybe you bought a duff set I dont know but mine dont bounce bad and the rides fine.

They suffer from mixed quality going by some threads I have seen on them.
-
Thats fair enough just dont agree when people say im fitting sh*t to my car to be in the scene :undecided:

As long as your happy with them that is all that matters at the end of the day.
-
p.s. My comment wasn't directed at anyone particular, im just speaking on feedback ive had from many people using these pieces of crap.

My rear struts were cream crackered when I got the car, ride was harsh to say the least and if a field mouse got in the back would smash the bump stops constantly

Coilovers are only as good as they are fit and maintained and having helped GAZ develop certain kits and owning a TA Technikz set I can honestly say the GAZ are only marginally better.
