well a couple of things i was thinking of spraying my alloys with a textured paint on the inside edges of my TTcomps and the tough durable paint just for the handles etc

Textured paint for wheels... I can only think that you mean Crinkle/Wrinkle finishes, that are available from the likes of Halfords, in various different colours, probably Red, Black, Light Grey, Dark Grey, and White, any other textured auto paint, would really be the kind that is meant for bumper repair, an not suitable for wheels, and would actually look crap
Crinkle finish would look very nice  if applied over bare ally, you would first need to etch prime, then a couple of coats of Hi build primer, followed by your Crinkle finish, job done

Stuff like door handles, mirror covers etc, your best bet would be to raid your local VW dealership, armed with your paint code, and buy the Colour/Lacquer aerosols, that come as a kit, for under a tenner iirc, rule of thumb, is that 1 aerosol kit is enough to paint 2 mirror covers, this paint will be adequate for doing door handles in..
Realistically, if you want better products, then your looking at spending your money in a Body shop...
