Well thats it running not sure how but i had a play aboutb in the fuse box and she burst into life.
Cant believe it am well chuffed
-
Ermm, what is exactly?
-
my golf had a few threads going lately mate bought a non runner with elec probs
-
Ah ok, wouldn't it have made sense to have posted in those threads rather than to start another new one though?
-
Nice one!
-
so what did you do? Or was it just a case of wiggling wires?
-
not sure mate to be honest unpluged and checked a few plugs replaced a relay that sits on top of the fuse box 57 i think and she started more luck i think.
-
thought you said you changed relays bud! but nice one for getting it going
-
Yeah a got new 30 an 167 from vw and took the rest from a scrap motor but a never took the one on top of fuse box but realised it's the same number as another one so changed it then, all the rest had been changed. Also had a joint at the rear of fuse box that wasn't great from where the alarm immobiliser was ripped out so redone that too, think it was more that than the relay. I used the fuse box thread on here an it was a black wire that went to ecu an coil.
-
Also has anyone any idea why my driver side window goes down when I press up and up when I press down? Changed the switch as it felt a bit dodgy wasn't clicking when pressed still worked though but thought that was the problem but just done same thing.
-
thats the least of your probs at moment mate! you got to rebuild that car....do a search on elec windows loads of helpfull stuff there..
-
Tell me about it bud not lookin forward to it. Tried the search only found 1 thread with the same problem an it had no replys typical!
-
sure you aint knocked any wires whislt playing with fusebox? surely its just a case of swaping the connections round?
-
Think it's fuel pump relay mate pump starts struggling then stops an car cuts out. Will be going straight back to vw the mora!
