Title: How many clay bars is the norm?
Post by: JDM82 on 18 February 2011, 21:44
Ive got myself some Dodo Juice supernatural clay bars, 3 to be exact  And I would like to know how many bars should I be using on a audi A4?
What Im saying I shouldn't be needing to use all 3 bars? I know to throw the clay away once its pitted but id think one bar should do the whole car???
Am I right in thinking this?

A third of a bar should be enough to do a whole car.

yes the 80g bars are fine to be split into 3 though on a heavily contaminated car that hasnt been clayed before id split one of those bars in half, remember to keep folding it as you go along and use plenty of lube, i use around 500ml of born slippy lube on my audi a4 avant.

Thanks goodness I asked, id of used the 3 bars in one go!   :undecided:

I'll make sure I keep turning the clay and use plenty of lube  (we are still talking about car detailing here, right?)
