Title: Where can I buy [ 1 DAY INSURANCE? ]

I will most probably be buying a car tommorow and it's a nice 400 mile drive there and back ... so don't want to risk it.

Where can I buy insurance for a day?

Think I used temp cover when I bought the galaxy, sorted on the phone in about 15-20 mins

When I bought the golf I rang my company up (adirmal) and just added the car for a week and it's was £20 same price for 1 day or a week!

Yeh was guna say you might aswell get it on for a week as its usually the same price as a day ;)

alternatively get an on-line quote and ref, and if you decide to buy call up there and then and insure it for the journey home. when i got my mk4 i literally insured it on the four-court with yes insurance. unless you plan to have it off the road for a bit then yeah a week or days cover will be the best option
