Very, very nice indeed. I love the colour. Great pics as well.

+1 on the number plate would be interested to know where your purchased these? Also have you tinted the fronts a little.

Nice! What camera you got? If you venture outside of the MK6 section we actually have a photography section where you can ask for help, advice or just peruse shots of other members.

I got the plates from Terri's Plates near Lakenheath Since I am American with an American Spec car I had to have the square plates, but any one in can go in there and buy some square plates. also what do you mean by surround?

Yes the windows are tinted it is 15% all the way around.  I have had them done since the week I got the car and have not been pulled for them yet.

By surround, he means the number plate holder I believe.

The law states front windows must allow 70% of light through; the front windscreen 75% so you should be fine. I've seen some cars with tints so dark that I wonder how they see and I believe this is where the Police are cracking down.

Loving the square number plate.  I think we all want to know how you removed the old rectangular surround and got the square one on so cleanly.  Looks the business.
How is the ride after dropping it by so much.  I take it they must be coilovers?

If it's US spec it wouldn't have had the rectangular plate on in the first place.
It's probably got the seats for "larger" people too.

It's funny how you notice the pictures, the more I look at them now, I see it's an American car :P
Left hand drive, square plate surround and also those horrible side markers have been colour coded on the front bumpers :)
Was/had there been any issues with getting the Bi-Xenons aligned to sit on the correct side of the road? :)
Looks pretty damn sweet that matey, is it on springs or coilovers?

Dont the Xenons have a switch/lever to move them to be LHD compatible so that you can adjust them when/if you go across to Europe?

My mums old Mini Cooper S had that feature, I assume it must be the same for all of them? Don't know whether it'd just be a simple switch or not, would they not have to be checked by an MOT tester?

Yes I hated the side markers so I had to have the colour coded to match.  The Bi-Xenons were already adjusted when I to the correct side when I took delivery.  I am not on Coilovers the drop is all springs for now.  I will be getting Coilovers as soon as I get all the other modifications I want taken care of.  To give you all an idea of what I have done I will give you my list of mods.

The American spec Engine is the same TSI that is in the UK just more emissions restrictions so we loose some BHP.

This will change sooner than you think. We'll either become the 51st State of the United States of America which we nearly are in many ways, or really join the United States of Europe. Talk about a rock and a hard place.

That is what I thought and said so on another thread but nobody with xenons confirmed. I was sure there was a setting in the MFD you could change if taking your car abroad. Or maybe it was through VCDS.

I got an American spec because I am American.  I am over here in the UK with the U.S. Air Force my job is to fix Fighter Jets.  I am not even close to being done with the mods.  I am going Stage 2 Revo as soon as they are able to crack the code on the American ECU over here.  It can take up to 2 months longer that when they released the mapping for the UK cars and mine being a 2011 and they just released the tune for them it will be a few months.  I am currently looking for someone that has the ability to VAG Comm my GTI for me soon.

It was the case with the mk5 and looking at the VW.com website gallery flash for the mk6 it too shows the less bolstered seats if they go for the cloth version but the euro type seats if they go for the leather.

Having had leather before I'm also glad I got the cloth.  The pattern is classy in design and does really lift the cabin (mine doesn't have the red stripe in it but the black/grey/White check combo is really nice.)

Everybody has commented positively on the look!

Only thing I wish I'd got is heated seats!

Leather nice but not as nice IMO

I don't have any issues with the GTI leather it's not that bad, granted it's not as nice as those found my father-in-laws Jag XF.

I wouldn't have had it if i'd bought the car new, it's too much money and much better options for that sort of money.
