Title: Mk3 16v GTI idle valve - advice needed please!

Hi, I'm reasonably new to this site but I was wondering if anybody could help....

I've just bought a mk3 16v GTI and the bloke who sold it to me told me that the engine won't idle, it just cuts out and it needs a new idle valve which he had already ordered.
He popped it down to me last night and I thought I'd fit it today... Only problem is I can't actually locate the valve under the bonnet!
I was wondering if anybody had any diagrams or photos that could show me where this valve is located?!!
Any help would be gratefully received!!

its on the front of the inlet, hidden behind the spark lead tidy :)
