got cable today from ebay and can't get it to work! interface not found have changed port number and driver is installed for the cable. also downloaded vcds from rosstech rather than the disc but still the same. why is nothing ever easy!!!!!!!

oh im on windows 7 can anyone shed some light.

What car are you trying it on as some Ebay cables won't work with certain cars......

its a 2003 150pd. it wont even open when i click the  tab nothing happens ,  ive changed to run on admin and compatability windows xp sp 2 but nothing !  :sick:

Have you downloaded VCDS Lite??  That's what they released for use with Ebay leads.

Hi yes ive got vcds lite 1.1 it wouldnt work as im on windows 7 64bit home premium, and the 309.1 wouldnt work with that. I'm sat in the car now trying to sort it, i need it to turn on cruise control this weekend, and also need to run a full scan on the car, fingers crossed its working, i just need to work out how to use it now  :laugh:
