Title: Door membrain pictures request please....

Evening all

Done the search, but cannot find a good detailed do it guide with pictures to re fitting these door membrains i am about to start...

I am after any that you experts will  have done over the years :wink:

If this is broke, the membrane, does the water come into the car?

Pour water over the outside while your sitting in it. You ll see exactly where its coming in even if a membrane is there

Thanks Studtg, that will help me no end, like things to be right, otherwise you just keep re visiting to correct bodge jobs...

Weazgti... i have done this mate and have found two minor leaks, :smug: which is why i am now onto this to sort it before i have steamy wet windows year round and eventually a hole through my floor pans...:cry: :cry:

If you're doing you're own membrane tuck the sheet back into the door space at the bottom to channel the water towards the drain holes, I found that I couldn't get them completely water tight without doing this no matter how much duct tape I used.

You can kind of make out from the picture that I found the best way was to fold the sheet back in on itself at the corners to help channel the water better then tuck it into the space and tape it up!

as above but do 2 sheets. cut 1 to half height and stick along the lower edge and tuck in, then put your top sheet on :)
